Position responsibilities

Transcribes legal recordings and notes into written form. This VA listens to dictations, deposition recordings, or meeting discussions and produces accurate, formatted transcripts or summaries, saving the lawyer significant time​.

  • Transcribe lawyers dictations or voice memos into typed documents (letters, briefs, case notes), ensuring the text is verbatim and properly punctuated​.
  • Transcribe deposition or hearing recordings, creating a written record that can be easily reviewed and annotated for case preparation​.
  • Review and proofread transcriptions to eliminate errors, and format the documents according to legal standards (speaker labels, timestamps if required) before filing or sharing with the team​.
